Based on the European “Earth View” patent (EU Patent No. EP 0,985,320 B1), ETN has successfully registered the corresponding US patent (US Patent No.: US 6,738,422 B2). With the “Earth View” technology, ETN is among the first companies to transmit live video signals in TV quality via the internet.
With this successful protection, the original network of 7 cameras utilizes the Earth View technology to broadcast from New York, Washington, Niagara Falls, Munich, Berlin, Sydney, and Melbourne to the ETN broadcasting center in Munich. There, “The World Live” is produced and transmitted live to TV channels around the globe via satellite.
